Tamara Al Rashediah

The pedigree of Tamara Al Rashediah reflects the international complexion of straight Egyptian breeding.  Her sire is bred in Bahrain and her dam in Italy, but the horses in her pedigree also represent important breeding programs in Hungary, Germany, Argentina, the United States, and Kuwait.  While straight Egyptians are only about four percent of the total Arabian horse population, they have proven to be progenitors of the classic desert type that is appreciated throughout the world.  Hailing from the Dahmah family of Bint Sabah through the exquisite mare Tamria, Tamara Al Rashediah represents a lovely blending of both Dahmah and Abbayah strains.  She has multiple crosses to Ruminaja Ali through her grandsire Phaaros, as well as considerable linebreeding to the Nazeer son Ansata Ibn Halima.  Her granddam, the phenomenal mover Taghira B, was bred by the Babolna Stud of Hungary, and is sired by El Thay Mameluk of the noted El Thay breeding program of Germany.
